Nancie Atwell is a lifelong middle school teacher whose best known for her many books about teaching reading and writing. She also founded Maine’s Center for Teaching and Learning, a demonstration school where she shares her exceptional expertise with other teachers. And, of course, she just won the inaugural $1 Million Dollar Global Teacher Prize at the Global Education and Skills Forum.
