It wasn’t all that long ago that every marketer in the world was focused on establishing the strongest possible e-commerce presence. Nobody cared if your company had been in business in the bricks-and-mortar world for a century; without an e-commerce app, you’d be left behind, crushed by the competition. Fast-forward just a few years, and everyone’s attention had shifted to mobile. No mobile app? Good luck reaching all those mobile customers, pal. It was nice knowing you.
