People are still talking about the Henry Rollins keynote from our event last year. It was a personal highlight for me, and apparently for a lot of other people as well.
You don’t really top Henry. But you must know that we’re going to keep raising the bar each year when it comes to indulging our rock-and-roll lifestyle.
So, I’m excited to be able to present one of the truly original bands to emerge from the alternative music revolution. CAKE is a group that defies classification, even as they appeal to a broad spectrum of music fans from across the world.
Maybe it’s the deadpan, irreverent lyrics. Or perhaps it’s those infectious bass lines. Of course, it could be the horns. Regardless, CAKE has delivered hit after hit over the years, including The Distance, Never There, Love You Madly, and my personal favorite, Short Skirt/Long Jacket.
This is an exclusive performance for DCS attendees, which is included with your conference registration. You’ll see the band live at the Paramount Theater in Denver, Colorado, on Thursday evening, October 13, 2016. That’s in addition to our opening reception on the evening of October 12, and our always epic closing party on Friday, October 14.
